FAQ

The Maj Oceanic FAQ

Where does The MAJ Oceanic sail in Indonesia, and what are the best seasons to charter?

The MAJ Oceanic navigates Indonesia’s prime cruising regions according to seasonal weather patterns. From May through October, she charters through Komodo National Park, Flores, and the Lesser Sunda Islands during the dry season. From November through April, she relocates to Raja Ampat and West Papua, running seasonal transitional crossings through the historic Banda Sea (Spice Islands) and Alor.

Handcrafted in South Sulawesi and launched in 2020, the 47-metre The MAJ Oceanic was styled by land-based luxury interior designers to feel like a floating boutique estate. Standout signature amenities include a top-deck equatorial golf setup (using 100% biodegradable fish-food golf balls), a dedicated onboard spa therapist, open-air yoga facilities, and an indoor Gajah Mada dining lounge featuring hand-carved copper bas-relief artwork.

The MAJ Oceanic is equipped for marine expeditions across the Coral Triangle with full scuba diving gear, air compressors, and dedicated PADI dive instructors. Guests also have access to high-speed RIB tenders, sea kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, wakeboards, water skis, and complete snorkeling equipment for secluded reef and lagoon exploration.
