Built in South Sulawesi using traditional phinisi construction, Otium pairs ironwood-and-teak craftsmanship with a calm, tropical-contemporary interior designed by Marc Christoffel. A crew of fifteen, captain, private chef, dive guides, and attentive service staff, tailors each day to the pace guests want, whether that’s diving, island exploration, or simply time on deck.
The heart of life aboard is the 45-square-metre Day Club, an open-air upper deck built for lounging and dining rather than a single fixed dinner setting. Guests move easily between meals, sun, and conversation here, making it the natural gathering point between excursions to Komodo, Alor, Raja Ampat, and the Spice Islands.
Below deck, six suites accommodate up to twelve guests. The 39-square-metre Master Suite spans the main deck with a king-size bed and its own sea-view lounge, while the Queen Suite above offers elevated ocean views. Four 15-square-metre staterooms complete the lower deck, each finished in its own color as part of Otium’s tropical-modern character, with queen beds and en-suite bathrooms throughout.

The communal decks
The centerpiece of Otium’s social life is the upper-deck Day Club, a 45-square-metre open-air space built for lounging and dining rather than a single fixed seating plan. Guests move easily between meals, sun, and conversation here throughout the day. Indoors, an air-conditioned salon and library offer a quieter retreat, furnished with a curated mini-library, a premium sound system, and a TV, ideal for slower afternoons between excursions.
A dedicated deck at the stern handles the practical side of exploration, water sports gear, diving equipment, and tender access, allowing easy transitions from onboard lounging to reef dives or island stops across Komodo, Alor, Raja Ampat, and the Spice Islands.
